Lock On to Suppport Hunger Striker
Update Ali Panah Has since been released on bail
Yesterday supporters of Ali Panah an Iranian refugee on the 51st day of an ongoing hunger locked onto parts of Mt Eden remand prison. The protesters attatched themselves to an awning as well as two flag poles holding banners until fireman cut the locks after over two hours. Ali Panah who is in danger of being killed for converting to christianity if he returns to Iran is growing weak and is in danger of suffering permanant injury or death from his hunger strike. A scuffle with cops occured when police pushed cops away from the prison and onto the road. The supporters are calling for the immigration minister to grant a visa to Ali Panah.
